This course provides step-by-step, in-depth instructions for preparing the Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR) within the guidelines set by the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and in compliance with USPAP.

The course is appropriate for students who are interested in receiving 14-hours of continuing education credit. The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the appraisal methods. Students will learn the principles of value, the three approaches to value - sales comparison, cost, and income, reconciliation and gross monthly rent multipliers.

Provides an introductory understanding of fundamental concepts of appraising.

• Focuses on the valuation of vacant land parcels and the development of the cost approach.
• Develops your skills by creating a current cost estimate using market extraction, interview techniques, and information provided by professional cost data sources.

This course focuses on changes to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) for 2010-2011 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice. This course meets the seven hour National USPAP continuing education requirements for license renewal. This course is designed to aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.
